Panda Studio
A print room for other artists
Archival giclée printing, finishing and blind drop-shipping, run out of one studio in South Africa. You sell on your own site. We print the piece, finish it properly and post it straight to your customer with your name on the parcel.
It is a fulfilment service, not a marketplace. There is no storefront here for your work, no profile, no revenue share and no cut of your sale — we are the press, not the shop.
How it works
You sell, on your own site
Your shop, your prices, your customer. Nothing of yours is listed here — this site sells one artist’s work, and that will not change. Your buyer stays yours.
The order reaches us
By hand to begin with: you send the sizes and quantities and the delivery details, and we raise the order. A plugin and an API come later, and they will do exactly what the manual path already does.
We print and finish it
Archival pigment on cotton-rag and etching papers, printed one sheet at a time on a fine-art feed, inspected, trimmed, and finished — signing, edition numbering, a certificate card and a maker’s seal where you want them.
It ships to your customer, blind
The parcel carries your name, not ours. Your customer never learns who printed it unless you choose to tell them. You never handle the print.
We bill you, you keep the rest
One trade price per size and paper. You charge your customer whatever you like; we never touch their money and take no cut of your sale.
What it costs
A flat trade price per size and paper — one list, the same for everyone on it, with no tiers to climb and no minimum order. Finishing is priced per option, so you only pay for what you ask for. Courier is billed at cost within South Africa.
The list is worked out from what the paper and ink actually cost, which means it moves down when our costs do. We would rather send you the current one than publish a figure here that goes stale the week a sheet price changes.
We are not VAT registered, so there is no VAT on what we bill you — and nothing for you to claim back on it either.
Getting in
By enquiry, not by sign-up. There is one press and one person running it, and taking on more artists than the studio can print for would fail the ones already here. So the list grows slowly and on purpose.
Tell us what you make, where you sell it and roughly how much printing you think you need. If it is a fit we will send the trade list and a sample.
