Panda Studio Trade Terms
Last updated: 2026-10-13
Panda Studio is the print and fulfilment service of Mr Panda Drawz (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/472793/07), Unit B, 28 Naude Str, Rayton, 1001 ("we", "us"). These terms apply to every artist or business ("you") whose work we print and send out.
1. Who these terms are for
- 18 or older, or a registered business. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18, or that you are ordering on behalf of a registered business.
- By invitation. We work with artists we have accepted through the enquiry form at mrpandadrawz.com/studio. An enquiry does not create an agreement. These terms apply from your first order.
- A service, not a marketplace. We print and send your work for you. We do not sell, list, promote or show it on mrpandadrawz.com. There are no artist accounts, storefronts, public profiles or revenue shares, and your customers never pay us.
2. What we do
We print your work in-house on archival fine-art paper, frame it if you ask, pack it and courier it straight to your customer. For now we offer fine-art paper prints and frames only.
- Finishing on request: signing, edition numbering, a certificate of authenticity and a maker's seal.
- Blind shipping: the packing slip carries your name and email address, not ours. We never contact your customers or market to them.
- Your own inserts: we pack stickers, thank-you cards or certificates that you supply, at no charge. Keep us stocked. We can also print them for you, quoted separately.
- Returns address: parcels carry no return address for you. If a customer needs to send something back, they contact you, and you arrange it with us.
3. Your artwork and your rights
Your work stays yours. We use it only to print and send your orders.
- You promise that you own the artwork or have the right to have it printed and sold, and that printing it does not infringe anyone's rights. If someone makes a claim against us because of your artwork, you are responsible for it.
- Our licence covers only making the prints you order, plus test prints and file checks for them. We never show, sell, post or reuse your work without your written permission.
- We may refuse to print work that we reasonably believe infringes someone's rights or is unlawful.
- Your files are kept on our private storage while you are a client, so that re-orders print the same way. We delete them within 30 days of the arrangement ending, unless you ask us to keep them.
4. Orders, files and colour
Send each order to [email protected] with the artwork, size, paper, framing, any finishing, and your customer's delivery details. We confirm the order by email, together with its invoice.
- Files: at least 300 dpi at the final print size, with an embedded colour profile, and one file per size (bleed does not scale between sizes).
- Files that won't print well: we tell you before printing and ask for a better file. We only print it as it is if you confirm in writing that you accept the result.
- Colour: we soft-proof every file. A print never matches a screen exactly, and very saturated colours, cool blues especially, can print less vivid than on screen. That is not a fault. For a new piece, order a test print first. Test prints are charged at the trade price.
- Changes and cancellation: you can change or cancel an order until we start printing it, and we refund anything you have already paid. Once printing has started, the order cannot be cancelled.
5. Prices and payment
You pay our trade price for each item, plus courier, and you set your own prices to your customers.
- Trade prices: we send you our trade price list when we accept you. There are no tiers and no minimum order. We give you 30 days' notice by email before a price changes. A confirmed order keeps the price it was confirmed at.
- Courier: charged at what the courier charges us, shown on the order's invoice.
- VAT: we are not registered for VAT, so our invoices carry none.
- Payment before printing: every order is invoiced when we confirm it, with a secure Paystack payment link. Payment is due on receipt. We start printing once the payment has cleared, and an unpaid order is held, not printed. You can also pay by EFT; printing starts when the funds reflect in our account.
- No accounts: we do not offer credit, and we never charge your card automatically.
6. Production and delivery
We dispatch within 2 to 5 working days of your payment clearing, depending on how busy we are. If we expect a delay, we tell you.
- Where we ship: within South Africa, by tracked courier. We email you the tracking number when the parcel leaves us.
- Packing: every print is packed flat or in a tube, protected for its size.
- Addresses: you are responsible for the delivery details you send. If a parcel comes back or has to be redelivered because the address was wrong or incomplete, the extra courier cost is yours.
- Lost or damaged in transit: report it within 7 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date, if the parcel is lost), with photos. We claim from the courier and reprint at no charge to you.
7. Faults and reprints
| Problem | Who pays for the reprint |
|---|---|
| Print defect: banding, marks, wrong paper or size, damaged paper | We do |
| Damaged or lost in transit, reported within 7 days | We do, and we claim from the courier |
| A problem in your file (resolution, colour, cropping, spelling) | You do |
| Difference between your screen and the print (section 4) | You do |
| Your customer changed their mind | You do |
How to report: email [email protected] within 7 days of delivery, with the order number and clear photos. We reply within 2 working days. We may ask for the faulty print back first, at our cost. Where the fault is ours, we reprint or, if you prefer, refund that item. A refund or exchange for your own customer is between you and them.
8. Your customers' personal information
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (PoPIA), you are the responsible party for your customers' information, and we are your operator when we use it to fulfil your orders. This section is the written agreement between us that PoPIA requires.
- What we use: only the name, delivery address and phone number needed to deliver the parcel. Send us nothing more.
- What we do with it: we use it only to print, pack and deliver your order, and we share it only with the courier. We never market to your customers, add them to a list, or sell or share their details.
- How we protect it: it is kept on our own secured systems, and only the people who send your orders can see it. If we learn of unauthorised access, we tell you without delay.
- How long we keep it: for as long as the order record must be kept for tax and accounting. If you ask, we delete it sooner, except where the law requires us to keep it.
9. Liability, ending the arrangement, and general terms
Our liability. For any order, our liability is limited to reprinting it or refunding what you paid for it. We are not liable for lost profit, lost sales or other indirect loss, except where the law does not allow that limit, or where we acted with gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Ending the arrangement. Either of us can end it at any time by email. Orders that are already paid are still printed and sent. We may end it immediately if you break section 3.
Changes. We email you at least 30 days before a change to these terms takes effect. An order is governed by the terms in force on the day we confirmed it.
Law. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.
